なぜ人殺を殺してはいけないの？
| 今回は少しブラックな内容かもしれませんが、人間誰もが一度はちょっと思ったこともあるかもしれないトピックについて、書いてみました。
心の中にモヤモヤがある人に読んでもらえたら、少し心が軽くなれるかもしれません。 |
Title: Why We Shouldn’t Kill People?
At some point in a person’s life, they might have thought, “I want to kill that guy!” The reason someone may think such a thought can come from various issues related to money, business, fraud, problems in romantic relationships, annoying neighbors, etc.
人生長く生きていると、「あの人を殺したい！」なんて思ったことはありませんか？理由は人それぞれで、お金のトラブル、ビジネス、詐欺被害、恋愛関係、近所トラブルなど多岐に渡ります。
Of course, it’s common knowledge that we must not kill anyone. It’s written in our constitution and instilled in our moral values. But, did we ever ask why?
もちろん、人を殺してはいけないということは誰もが知っていることで、憲法にも定められているでしょうし、道徳的観念も持っていますよね。でも、なぜダメなんでしょうね。
One reason is “It is banned under the law,” meaning it’s illegal or unlawful.
一つの理由としては、法律で禁止されているからですね。殺人罪にあたりますし、非合法的な行為です。
Logically speaking, some people will say that life is precious and everyone has the basic right to live. But, I’m having second thoughts if the life of extremely devilish and inhumane people like serial killers, terrorists, mass murderers, etc., are considered “precious”.
論理的に言えば、「人の命は尊いもので、みな基本的に生きる権利がある」ものです。でも例えば連続殺人犯や、テロリスト、大量殺人犯など世間一般で言うところの極悪非道で悪魔のような人の命も「尊い」ものなのか、とつい思ってしまいます。
Does each person’s life really have equal importance and significant in a society corrupted by evil people? Even evil people are loved by someone and are precious to them.
普通に生きている人が、ある日突然そのような残酷な人に命を奪われたとして、殺人犯のその命は同じように貴重な命、として扱われるのか、とも思うことはありませんか？もちろん、そのような極悪非道な人達にも家族がいて、誰かに愛され、大事に思われているからでしょうね。
Let me critique the law.
法律について少し意見を述べさせてください。
If there is no law banning “killing people”, then there is nothing to guarantee everyone’s safety.
もし「人を殺してはいけない」という法律が無かったら・・・想像できますか？おそらく、この世界には（またはこの国には）安全なんてどこにもありません。
We can’t eat food because it may be dosed with poison. We can’t walk outside freely on the streets or take public transportation because someone might just kill us out of the blue. Even in the comfort of our homes we can lose our sense of safety as someone might freely break in and attack us.
「自由に人を殺してもよい」世界では、食事も普通に食べられなくなるかもしれません。それは料理に毒を盛られたりするからです。外だってどこから誰にいきなり攻撃されるかもしれませんので、自由に歩いたり交通機関（電車やバス）に安心して乗ることもできなくなります。自宅にいても、自由に入り込まれるかもしれない恐怖から、気が休まる時もありません。
Imagining these scenarios, it makes me think how terrible life would be if it becomes that corrupt. It’s like every day is a battle to protect your own life.
このように、法律で禁じられていなかったら、世界は崩壊します。怖いですよね。毎日毎日自分の生活を守るために戦うんですよ・・・
Why we live comfortably and in peace is because we are protected by the law. So we don’t kill someone, not only because it is written in the constitution or because of our fear of punishment, but also to protect ourselves from revenge that may be sought for the persons death.
私たちが毎日快適に平和に過ごせるのは、法律に守られているから・・・と思います。そもそも罪を犯し、罰を受けることも怖いですし、自分が誰かを殺したら、復讐されることもありますから、自身を守るためにも、たとえどんなに腹の底から殺したい人がいたとしても、「殺さない」のではないかと思います。
Of course, there are ruthless people whom we might think have no right to live. However, by law, everyone still has the same rights. We cannot kill just because we consider someone’s life unworthy.
ひょっとすると、「あいつは、生きる資格なんかない」なんて思ってしまいそうな冷酷卑劣な人も世の中には存在します。でも、法律上は、みんな同じ生きる権利を持っています。個人的な理由で、「あいつは生きる価値もない」なんて思って殺していいわけは、ありません。
Nature will take its course and give them what they deserve in due time.
もしそのように「殺したい」と思う人がいたとしても、神様がきっとあなたの代わりに、いつかやっつけてくれるはずです。
As they say, do our best, and let the heavens do the rest.
悪者退治は天に任せて、私たちは自身の人生を一生懸命生きていればいいのです。
